Hello all,

My AF's earspeaker volume decreased a lot with time. I can barely hear the other in noisier environments. I have tried to play with various patches, but all of them seems to only increase the loudspeaker volume.

So I think it could be related to the earspeaker itself.

Did anyone tried to replace the part with some more widely available part? (Like the Lumia 920 speaker for the Jolla 1)

I would be interested in the dimensions too. Unfortunately it is glued to the faceplate, and removing it would break it either or other way, and I would not like make my phone unusable at the moment.

The only info what I have found is this http://www.superekart.com/product/view/replacement-ear-speaker-for-intex-aqua-fish

Ah! similar situation here. In my case, though, it is very miserable. It was making crackling noise when working and then I took the speaker apart only to find that the vibrating plastic film had started to come off from an edge. I tried to stick it back again with some glue and the crackling noise is gone, but the speaker lost its dynamic range and loudness that I can barely understand what other person says in a call. Set the device to rest and started using a ported device instead.

From the pictures in the link you posted, the speaker looks exactly as the type used in AquaFish.

Cool. I have just replaced the earspeaker in my Jolla 1 and the Lumia 920 speaker has the very same construction (pins position) and size.

Also if you look the filename of the uploaded image it is: http://www.superekart.com/uploads/product_images/spk4nokia.jpg

spk4nokia.jpg is promising.

Is there any way for you to disassemble the speaker from your device an measure the dimensions?

I am facing the similar problem but I've not yet opened it for replace. Does Intex AF and Nokia Lumia 920 Ear-speaker, have same dimensions or does it fit perfectly as a replacement for the original one ?? coz couldnt find Intex AF Spares. Then Lumia 920 Ear-speaker available here: https://www.maxbhi.com/ear-speaker-for-nokia-lumia-920.html

@nobutter That is the question! We need to get dimension info for the AF earspeaker and then compare to the Lumia 920 dimensions.

I have just replaced it and the loudness issue have been gone. Many thanks for the hint. For the posterity: I have bought it from ebay from an European location.
