@Dreej

Same on Jolla1 with SFOS version 2.1.4.13

Remove it and download the other version on Openrepos, it doesn't crash for me.

@Esz thanks, solution helps... but... seems there is a problem in 2.1.4. I also experienced a crash of the contacts app (someone submitted it already, I think)

The same is happening here. Some apps are crashing, the Jolla Together client more often than anyone else.

not experiencing described problems. but the app seems to crash on itself when i'm not even in the app, then when I tyr to reopen app it just vanishes quite swiftly

Hi,

I have not been noticing this problem until now when got email from @Edz as there's no emails from jolla store to developers and have not had time to look Sailfish stuff for a while. Still using JollaC as main main device daily basis and I have Tablet and XperiaX (not usable for daily basic as Android support not working so well).

Anyway I checked this and seems it's something related to platform itself and got very same debug output as @VegardVesterheim. I recompiled jolla2gether with latest SDK and tested with emulator and with device (jollaC, not yet with XperiaX but expecting same results) with debug loggings. App is crashing both in emulator and in device. In emulator and in device started by SDK it's however crashing totally as in purely started in device it's leaving in application grid.

So far did not found any usefull debug logs from the application itself and cannot figure out yet how to fix it.

UPDATE: Workaround found and app fix is now pending in Harbour!

As you mentioned crashes on alien dalvik, together app and different other issues, I think it is a general memory management problem in SailfishX.
I think you should report this issue to Jolla support!

So, my first thoughts were actually correct, the problem is seemingly with the OS and not the app. Thanks for taking time to check it out @tace, Much appreciated.

I think it may be this bug that is causing the issue, looks like someone has asked for more details regarding the version of Qt in SailfishOS already.

https://bugreports.qt.io/browse/QTBUG-61261

After finding that information I did some trial and error and found out that by not checking whether a post has an accepted answer or is closed the app works much better for me.

Maybe it can help you to create a workaround, I'm not much of a QML programmer so I don't know if there are options to the current way this information is fetched (through the ListModel index).

Adding a return statement like you can see in this diff makes the questions page work much better for me. No information regarding the answered/closed state will be shown though.

I found that bug report too and it was me asking the question there :) Thanks a lot for you trial, will try to work on that...

@sunkan Thanks for finding a place where it could be fixed! I found a workaround (quite strange one but seems to work) which does not drop features from app.

Code is updated to github (https://github.com/tace/jolla2gether) and app update is now pending in Harbour.
