General email - oops account could not be added [answered]
Hi I'm trying to add zoho mail account, but it's not added because account could not be created for some reason. Also I've previously (version 2.1.3.7) setup google account, but now with 2.1.4 it doesn't sync email when enabled, and in email app I get that there are no accounts added. any hint on how to fix this to be able to IMAP account?

UPDATE 27.01.2019 No change with version 3.0.1.11 I'm trying to add general email account without success. This applies also to other mail providers, not only zoho. I can add google account but the email app always shows that no email account is configured...

krisko ( 2018-02-24 16:38:31 +0200 )editWhilst this comment refers to 3.0.0.5 (updating to 3.0.1.11 causes me other issues) I found no problem in adding Gmail under general email account both to sync and send mail basically using this resource with a few provisos link text (although need to amend Outgoing side to Secure connection = StartTLS with Port 587); being Google 2 step verification disabled, enabling lesssecureapps and DisplayUnlockCaptcha
I do wonder whether email setup would run smoothly if device was factory reset, but well appreciate this maybe a non-starter for you.
