@jahonen @ejjoman:
Since I couldn't find any information in the other threads, I'm opening a new question. Sorry if I'm duplicating an existing question.

The tranlation guide in the Wikis suggests using du as an informal adress. The translation strings for german contain lots of formal adresses Sie though. Especially those reviewed in last few days (I guess that's those for 2.2.0?).

What is the current status of the guideline for informal adress?
Is it still valid? Or has there been a decision to switch to the formal adress?
Right now it is somewhat inconsistent.

Can you shed some light on this?

Just as a side note:
A few of the strings from the past week look like they were machine tranlsated and pasted unaltered. They feel a bit odd...

Hey, I only accept translations with the informal "Du" or change it if I find it. Can you give examples of translations with the formal "Sie"? Thank you!

Thanks @nthn, that's quite useful! @ejjoman: Ok, thanks for clarifying. So that means the guidelines are still in place then. I have started to convert a few strings to du already.

Hi guys,

Thanks for checking this out! We should get all the fixes in 2.2.0 which is the next SW release.

Regards,

jahonen

Ok thank you all.
I'm interested in a discussion about paralell formal/informal translations as well but for now I think we could close this.
My original question about the state of adress has been answered (du should be used, Sie not)
