The subject says it all. I did not pay close attention to the update process after selecting "install". After a while I noticed that the tablet was stuck with a black screen with background light on. When nothing happened for some time, I powered off the device and then powered it on again.After power on, the display shows the Jolla logo and "Intel inside". Is there a way to get the tablet running again?

In fact, the tablet boots into 2.2.0.29 albeit without showing any progress during the update process. Apparently the typical progress bar is missing.
I noticed that because my tablet behaved exactly like your's, that is, I had a black screen with background light on after I hit "Install". However, I decided to wait for about 15 to 20 minutes. At some point in time the background light switched off and I simply woke the tablet up with a double tap and saw that the update was successfull.
So I guess it is not that the tablet does not boot. Rather the problem appears to be the missing visual feedback (progress bar) during update and booting
As I said - i had no progress bar, just a black, backlit screen for more than 10 minutes and thus I thought like you that the update failed. Maybe it was just a lucky instance that I ignored the tablet for another 10 minutes and found that the backlight was switched off.

I have had the same issue, i.e. no progress bar after starting installation of update. I got a black screen with background lights on. After a while I have shut down the device by pressing the on/off button and my device rebooted into previous OS version. I have tried it a second time, but waited now longer and it actually rebooted after some time into Mouhijoki. I have seen no installation progress bars both times.

Have the same problem during update... No progress bar, but at the end it booted to new version.
After this update (2.2.0.29), inside Settings (under security), I don't have option Untrusted software.
Already tried to reupdate via "version --dup", but have the same result..
Is this normal, can someone confirm? If not, how i can fix it?
Also when I check "ssu lr"
I have got aliendalvik repo in both sections Global and User... Why ? And how to remove one from the User section ?

P.S.2. Installing jolla-settings-system-sideloading package fixed my first problem :)

In section "Enabled repositories (user)" you should have "store" only (which you get by signing in to Jolla account). If there are more, remove them (unless needed by something in your setup). There should be no duplicates. Adding a repository requires the root rights so it should not happen accidentally.
And how to remove one from the User section ?

reboot
These commands affect the user section - they do not harm the global section that has the mandatory repositories.

I have tried to upgrade mine and it failed exactly in the same way. It may require a recovery & factory reset (but I will wait a bit in case there is a better solution)

nthn ( 2018-06-01 21:42:56 +0200 )editMy tablet also showed just a black screen, at some point (about 15-20min after starting the update) I did a forced poweroff and reboot. It still was on the old version. I then did an update through the command line which worked without a problem.
