XA2: Wifi Channel 13

My XA2 (Ultra and normal) does not find any wifi on channel 13. Does anyone else have corresponding problems?

Short answer: insert a sim card and it will work.
Long(er) answer: The firmware apparently ignores channel 12 and 13 if the device location cannot be determined: in North America these channels are not available, in europe these channels can be used. I suppose with an inserted sim card and a cellular connection the device knows the country, and then a Wi-Fi network on these channels is usable if permitted. My solution was to use a Wi-Fi channel always available.
