Cannot setup Dropbox-account

I hope someone knowledgeable can help me here. So, before upgrading my XA2 to Hossa, everything was fine and my phone was hooked up with a dropbox account. After the upgrade I was forced to update the sign-in credentials. All that was fine except after filling in the fields with email and password, the sign-in button was still greyed out. I suspect it had to do with the captcha that is supposed to show up but didn't. I gave up after many tries, both from settings account setup and also, like someone suggested, from the gallery. I then restored the backup taken just before upgrading thinking that the account settings might rectify what was wrong. No, it got worse. Now, when trying to setup the account I don't even get to the login page. After pressing consent to the dropbox terms of service, it swipes over to - nothing. A totally empty page where nothing shows up. I'm stuck and can just hope that you guys can point me in the right direction. Any ideas are appreciated. Thanks.
I haven't used it before, but I tested it out of curiosity, and I can confirm that I can't get the sign in button to stop being greyed out. X Compact, 3039
