I can't seem to get any Android apps working, including the App Store from Jolla and HERE Maps. Everything seems to work fine after a restore, but once the phone is restarted, all the apps fail to open, or when they do open they freeze shortly there after.
Anyone else run into this issue on a XA2 Ultra?
I have log, just unable to attach it yet, but could email it.
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

I got my response from Jolla support after supplying them with the log. It turned out to be a memory issue due to my contacts. I sync'ed my contacts via google, and I have over 700 of them, once I deleted them and restarted my phone, everything is working as per expectation. So there you are, now I'll try to see if I disable SMS-Access (as someone recommended up above) and add my 700+ contacts back if it'll make a difference. Thanks all!
yea, I'm wondering how many contacts I can have, so far just added my family members and it seems to work fine. You need AlienDalvik Control by CODeRUS (in Storeman) then go to Settings>Apps & notifications>App permissions>Contacts ...and make sure they are all unchecked.

Running 3.1.0.11 on an Ultra and I haven't had any real problems on any of the android apps that I've tried.
I must admit to not using many android apps though, as moving to Sailfish was a conscious effort to shift away from android and IOS.
and this is what I've read everywhere else, but the apps I've tried were HERE Maps and the Android store from Jolla store. That's why I'm so confused as to what's wrong with my phone. It seems to work pretty well, but as soon as I restart the phone, it's unusable.

Hej, I had the same problem with android apps accessing contacts and/or SMS which caused the entire phone to (almost) freeze. I'm not receiving any more freezing after I disabled SMS-Access for all android apps through Alien Dalvik control. And I cleaned up my contact list. However, Android support is still far from perfect, e.g. threema cannot access my contact list for some reason while whatsapp can, and some apps can for some unknown reason not connect to the Internet through 2/3/4G any more (but can still connect through wifi) while they were working before (and I didn't change anything). Plus some apps that are not working at all...
Is there a way out because l truly adore Xperia xa2ultra

When you have your issues is the battery full or low? Sometimes Android apps are a bit sluggish on Sailfish if the CPU is throttled down because of low power (I think)

It's the same behaviour for all android apps i tried. Is there a way to contact Sailfish support ? (the licence include a customer support, where is it ?) Can I help in any way ? log ?
