Hi, Today my Sailfish OS device locked, I don't have a clue how this happened. Now I am unable to unlock it via PIN or Finger print. It is useless, I cannot make phone-calls only receive. No unlock attempts are allowed.

If somebody could help me in walking me down on how I can re-access my device I would appreciate.

I tried to SSH using putty but I am unable, I believe the network adapter driver isn't correct. I connect the device in recovery mode and device manager shows in Others - Android.

Personally I always try to use Linux machine for recovery mode, as always have issues with both MacOSX and Windows for this purpose. Note in this Jolla resource for Windows, Paragraph 2.2 "The fastboot device "sa0114" of Sony must not appear in the listing of Windows Device Manager at this point any more":link text

A small note, regarding the USB cable and SSH:

Sailfish OS requires you to unlock the phone before even the USB-network interface is started, so saddly you can't use SSH over USB to debug unlocking problem.

SSH over Wifi works even when the phone is locked, you just need to find the IP address yourself (e.g.: by looking it up from the web interface of your router/modem) instead of looking it up in the settings.

According to Jolla this should fix the issue: https://jolla.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/360002996893-Xperia-X-devices-How-to-use-the-Recovery-Mode

At least section 3.2 specifically refers to the issue you describe.

The command in section 3.2 is not correct for XA2. As described in updated Recovery-Mode how to for XA2 needed, you will need the command /usr/lib/qt5/plugins/devicelock/encsfa --check-code 12345 (replace "12345" with your correct security code). That worked for me.

On my device (XA2 dual sim, running SfOS 3.1) the command from the zendesk link is correct. The binary name was probably changed so it matches the help document in a recent update.

Thank You ! I was able to unlock my device with the old pin code.

Used a windows machine! Downloaded the xperia-x-drivers from sony, following this guide https://jolla.com/sailfishx-windows-instructions-xa2/ to get the “Sony sa0114 ADB Interface Driver” in the “Model” list in device manager. Lastly I followed your link guide #lethe. and used p1rat advice advice.
