Cannot pickup/answer incoming call with Bt headset on XA2

Since I switched to XA2 I cannot pickup (answer) / hangup phone calls with Bluetooth headsets. Its the same for a LG and a Jabra headset. Though, Double tapping of the answer/hangup button on the headset initiates a redial of the last call. So every time I get a call or want to terminate I need to get the phone out of the pocket, maybe even unlock and use the touch screen. Do you know a workaround or a fix?

Now I tried to trace the issue as described in https://together.jolla.com/question/166857/howto-enable-debug-mode-with-bluez5-bluetooth-on-jollac/

journalctl --unit=bluetooth -f shows a lot of activities for playing audio via the a2dp profile. However when I receive a call or when I press the Answer/End call button nothing is shown in the log. So it seem that phone calls are not handled by BlueZ. No clue where to search for further details.

I'm using the same hardware (XA2+ & Voyager Legend) and my answer button does not work. It used to work sometimes/unreliably with JollaC...

What do you mean by answer button?

I have to press the voice command key and then say the command to call back.

It could answer with the button on the side (maybe was a bug). But it also used to work if I switched on the headset during the call, then it automatically answers the call after connecting to phone.
