As fairphone announced in their FAQ that the FP3 will be open for alternative Os - how does this change the chances for an official SFOS release? [duplicate]
[I am not sure whether that was already discussed, but a quick search didn't show anything sooo... dear mod - pls delete if this topic is too repetitive]
As i read recently on the FAQ section of the Fairphone 3 site, they are planing to open their phone to alternative Operation Systems.
Soon, you will have the option to install an alternative operating system such as Ubuntu Touch, Lineage OS, Sailfish OS or e-foundation. [...] We plan to publish a step-by-step guide to unlocking your Fairphone 3 bootloader in the coming weeks.
Does this increase the chances for an official port of SFOS to FP3? Does anybody know if there is an official announcement or statement of Jolla?
Someone needs to pay Jolla in order to get official support. Other than that i am sure we will get a Community port at some point once people get their hands on it.
