Dear Sailors,
every now and then, using WhatsApp Web on my laptop brings up the message on my Xperia 10: "WhatsApp Web ist gerade aktiv." (in german), which is loosely translated to: "WhatsApp Web is active".
How can I turn that off? It is really annoying!

I've been struggling with this same issue for a while now. This might be only a temporary solution but navigate to Android settings (use for example Coderus' Aliendalvik control)
Android settings > Application and notifications (or something like that) > WhatsApp > App notifications > Disable Other notifications or something like that.
By this I was able to disable continuous "WhatsApp web being active"
