To update or not to update? [answered]

I've been holding my horses with the latest update 1.0.3.8. I'm seeing a lot of issues and bugs with the new version and I'm wondering if I should or shouldn't upgrade now.

I don't really care about landscape mode too much, so I can miss that. But the improved speed of the OS and the official NFC fix would be nice. Also, App developers keep updating, and I like keeping my apps up to date.

So, is it worth all the risk of updating? What do you guys think, because I really don't know.

No risk no fun. Make your backups first and move them to a safe place.

Upgrade without any doubt. If you read some bugs it is only a minority of persons but they are those who write here mostly for giving feedback or searching solution. Don't be afraid, this update is really good. But for taking the best of it , I had to reset my device cause I previously had unintended bug with OH. If you also have isolated bug, reset first your device.

@Vinyl: an animal friendly way to deal with bugs. Instead of crushing them, you isolate them and set them free in your back yard. ;-)

See it that way: next to the few handful of people reporting bugs here are probably thousands that don't.

Personally I have had no problems with the update, and IMHO the longer battery lifetime alone is reason enough to upgrade.

I would recommend an update. My todo's etc got lost after the update but then I got them fairly easily recovered too with the help of some friends here :)
