[Bug] Read/unread status of emails not synced [not relevant]

Hey, after the latest update (1.0.3.8) neither of my email accounts (Google & Exchange) has been able to sync the read/unread status of the emails. This means that if I read an email on another device, the mail stays as an unread on Jolla until I read the mail or manually mark it as read on the device. I'm quite sure I didn't face this issue before the Naamankajärvi update.

@AnaT - If you read the email in other device and then after perform a manual sync in the Jolla email app the read status does not change ? There were no changes on that regard in latest update.

@VDVsx - Yes, even the manual sync doesn't sync the read status.

Humm, for Exchange this can happen if the other device is using IMAP to sync the emails, for example Thunderbird, but for google I never seen such behaviour. Can you collect logs ?

If you have developer mode enabled, in

/home/nemo/.config/QtProject/Messageserver.conf

enable file log and add a path for the log, like for example:

[FileLog]
Enabled=1
Path=/home/nemo/Documents/messageserver.log

Reboot the device and reproduce the problem, send me the log file to mail-logs at jolla dot com. After that turn file log off again by setting "enabled" to 0.Thanks a lot!

You know what, I'm afraid this was an user error. There was one web forum having a bug which caused me to receive the exact same notifican email ˜20 times a day. In GMail they all stayed under single topic in the message list but on Jolla they natrurally cluttered the whole mailbox which made it hard to keep in touch with what was already read and what not. Since the bug was fixed on Monday I haven't faced this sync issue neither. I'll close the question.
