Is it possible for the phone to connect on mobile internet in any situation even thought it is disabled in the settings?

I was playing around with the WLAN connection and got a message that i got connected on the Mobile internet (and got charged for it). Mobile internet is disabled in the settings and this was weird.

This is clearly a bug. I just noticed that when there is a connection problem and I turn off Mobile Data, the phone turn Mobile Data back on and tries to connect. Don't know if that is related, but there is certainly something amiss there.

Okey, sounds like I should put my sim back to my old phone for the trip to be sure not to get any roaming fees.

Happens to me too.

This happens to me too after the last update, but it only happens after I disable the mobile data. If I enable and disable wlan then mobile data disables

I can also confirm this bug, my Jolla is on latest 1.0.4.20.

I got a huge bill of mobile internet usage, while I certainly had the mobile connection disabled in the settings.

The setting clearly doesn't block mobile internet.

Huuuh, huge bill doesn't sound good! I'm sorry for you, but good to know that this can happen.

Hmmh, that sounds nasty; especially when coupled with the unreliable data counter. Need to monitor this a bit.

@typo Unreliable data counter? where, what who? I haven't heard of this.

Not sure if same bug: link text

(In this case the 3G IS clearly enabled - device enables it after user has disabled it)

Wlan on, 3G on. Connected to Wlan. Disable Wlan, THEN disable 3G

=> 3G is switched back on after a few seconds.

Ugh! Really? Seems to be a bug? TMP Work-arround: To be sure that mobile data is not working - delete/rename the "Access point name" in settings.

that is a workaround, not a permanent solution.
