Hello,

For a few days now, i've been having some Baseband resets, which result in having the PIN Entry Screen displayed after waking up the phone - this is sad because i'm losing calls without even knowing :(

Is there somewhere (log) i can watch what's happening/causing these resets?

Update after 1.0.5.16 - random resets started again. sometimes when i have the phone in my jackets pocket and wake it, it asks for PIN

Update after 1.0.5.19 - got even worse :( now apart from the random baseband resets, waking up the phone causes it to reboot. This also happens when waking up phone with double tap or DURING VOICE CALLS :(

Question: Can this be due to SIM card incompatibility/voltage difference - because in the past 2 months i changed SIM card twice (first to a 4G SIM - and seems resets stopped - , and second due to carrier change)

Thanks in advance, xxhell

This is a known issue that the Sim card is somewhat loose. Check out this duplicate threads/questions: https://together.jolla.com/question/1358/sim-card-connection-to-phone-lost-easily/ and https://together.jolla.com/question/21148/error-sim-card-was-removed/

I never saw the warning in the images on the posts you provided. Simply when waking up the phone i'm greeted with the sim input screen, but get no warnings. Also, the problem of the posts above occurs mainly on user-cut microSim's and my SIM was provided as microSim by my operator, and if i squeeze my TOH i don't loose sim contact. Seems like a different issue that always afflicted me, even before i first made a Reset to Factory. Only happens after some weeks of use. Any log i can see the cause of this?

It can be. Does it happen when you wake the device up? Even while the PIN screen appears, can you receive calls? Haven't checked the 'apps being open' symptom you say in your question (gonna test it and will give feedback).

Yes it happens when I wake the device up, and no I can't receive calls (I lost some calls because of that, like you). The fact that apps are still open or not is random as I said in the edit. Anyway, I'm happy to see that I'm not alone ;)

maybe it is the same? https://together.jolla.com/question/7144/jolla-randomly-shuts-down-10516/?sort=votes&page=1#sort-top

my phone reboots often when the connection 2g/3g connection is poor.

It makes my Jolla unreliable. :(

I also had sudden reboots in the last month. And it seems to occur whenever there is a poor 2G connection. But I don't think it's a problem of SIM. It works for over 2 years in my N900, and first months also in Jolla. I think It appears since last update.
