Unlocking the phone plays a sound even if muted [answered]
Obviously not the best experience if one tries that at a quiet place, such as a cinema. Is there any way to configure it correctly? Or is it just a bug?

I tried to silence the phone via the pully menu and everything worked fine for me, since it didn't play any sound when unlocking. (The phone can be silenced while it is still locked.)

See Silence down the Jolla handset completely theater mode).
You can actually "Silence sounds" before unlocking the phone (and turn on sounds thereafter).

Hi Knowak - I silenced mine by turning 'System Sounds' off, so when I unlock the phone, no audible notification is given. (The main volume controller has no effect). Perhaps this should be a suggestion, as I'm thinking it's just an oversight by Jolla and one of many things to be implemented.
Spam Hunter ( 2014-03-05 02:07:05 +0300 )editI would like to completely disable the unlocking sound, but keep any other system or notification sounds as they are.
Ape ( 2014-12-19 16:45:19 +0300 )editTo disable the unlocking sound, rename /usr/share/sounds/jolla-ambient/stereo/unlock_device.wav, then reboot.
