I have copied over some pdf files to the Documents folder using scp. However, the Documents app does not show all the documents. Rebooting does not seem to help either, but sometimes the reboot changes which documents are shown, but the list is never complete and there seems to be no consistency in which documents are shown.

This bug is still present in 1.0.4.20

Edit: Actually I now noticed that the list remains the same after rebooting. The two items are the last two items, alphabetically. I also noticed that one of the documents missing had parentheses in the name, so I renamed the file to remove the parentheses and rebooted. However, this did not change anything.

UPDATE 2.0.2.51: again..

On 1.1.2.16, I have two .doc and one .pdf in the Documents folder. Of these, only the PDF is shown in the app. If I try to open the docs from the file manager, the Documents app crashes.

This has begun to happen also in 2.0.2.51.. I can read every type of file, every format, but ONLY PDFs are shown.

Is there any solution? Any way to reset Documents cache or settings?

Cannot confirm. I have just done a fresh install of Documents on Jolla and sent a .PDF and a .DOCX file, both displaying and are readable (SFOS 2.0.2.51).

It didn't show txt files for me, I would have tried if it can open them now.

Did you try 'touch' in the shell? I had the same problem with videos and that helped, IIRC

Tried that now, but I'm afraid it didn't help... Currently it only shows two out of ten pdfs.

Is this a permission issue?

Below may help?

chmod 777 <filename>
