sound muted randomly

sound is gone (media player and youtube playback in browser). restarting does nothing. sound is restored. this happens randomly. has anyone else had this issue?

my phone has muted out of the blue. no idea how to get sound back. restarting pulse and rebooting didn't help.

Is this duplicate of https://together.jolla.com/question/39749/phone-complete-lost-audio-capability-on-external-speakers/ ? For me, muted sound happened today for second time, first time it was a month ago. Letting phone to drain battery completely over night resolves the issue first time, and now I'm waiting to repeat those steps. Through headset I can hear all sounds normally.
