Cannot find my photos over MTP
Mounted the phone with mtpfs.
Now I can copy over videos I've recorded, but cannot see my photos anywhere.
What's up with this MTP stuff anyway?
We have moved to a new Sailfish OS Forum. Please start new discussions there.

Your photos ought to be in Pictures/Camera, when you open phone memory via MTP.
Yes, that's where I was looking. And that's where they are in the phone.
The problem is just that the directory appears empty over MTP.
Sailfish is latest version (Ohijärvi).
I can perfectly well copy the photos over scp, so the problem has something to do with MTP.

Use same standard folder for pictures in Jolla and Android environment
MTP is best thing ever! You do not need to use anoying MS fat32 anymore! You can use storage with phone and pc same time. What OS you using? Could help to get answere.
Makeclick ( 2014-04-09 18:01:02 +0200 )editMaybe it is great but it does not work with a Mac (or at least Jolla's doesn't). It renders the phone almost useless to what is today a large and influential oart of the market. Easily my biggest gripe (and I really want the Jolka folks to succeed).
Setok ( 2014-04-10 01:20:20 +0200 )edit@Makeclick, I have found that MTP is generally a pain in the butt to get working on any Linux distro. Devices don't get recognized, if they do file transfer is slow, it hangs, and so on. It's a shame Jolla doesn't support MSC.
Currently, I use a microSD card to transfer files between my Jolla and my computer. As strange as it may sound it's far more reliable and a lot faster than directly connecting Jolla and computer. (In fact as of the latest update the Jolla is not even recognized by the computer anymore but that's a different problem.)
nthn ( 2014-04-10 03:05:42 +0200 )edit@Setok It's normal, if something is not made by Apple is not working on it :D or you need some adapter! Maybe best way is: try to search some MTP app which will work..
@nthn Try that fix hit me
