I like how the remorse timer works and I was pleasantly surprised when I saw its addition to the 'Clear notifications' menu after the 1.0.8.19 update. However, it does not work as it should in the Events view.

There is no way to speed up the process, because Events view is always opened in the background. You must always wait for this remorse to finish which slightly slows down the experience.

Please, either remove the remorse timer from the Events view or find a way how to speed up the confirmation like in any other app.

EDIT: Fixed in 1.1.0.38.

Can you explain? What is it that you want to do (but can't) while the timer counts down? I myself usually just leave the events view - which I can do right away.

For example: I have the controls (wi-fi, network, flashlight, brightness etc.) in Events view and cleaning up the notifications is (was) much faster than scrolling down to see all the controls I want to access.

Maybe you should attach a screenshot, that doesn't really make sense. The events view should contain info about incoming sms, mails, missed calls... and access to social feeds if you have those accounts configured. It does nstrong textot show wifi, brightness or any such controls - unless you found a very attractive way to hack the device (which I hope you'll share). The "clear notifications" remorse timer works as expected and I can see no reason to wait until it's finished. I just ignore it and go on with whatever I want to do.

It's off-topic, but if you want... I found a screenshot for ya :)

The remorse timer is in place to speed up the process of confirming dialogs. I'm not sure if you noticed how it works elsewhere... When you're deleting a photo, you can flick to another one and it gets deleted instantly. When you're enabling Flight mode, you can close Settings and it enables it instantly without waiting for the remorse timer to finish. Pick a remorse timer in the system and I'll tell you how to speed it up - that's one of the main advantages. When I'm deleting a photo, I don't really care when it is deleted. When I'm enabling Flight mode, I close settings and there it is. When I'm clearing notifications, I want them cleared instantly (to see my controls or Twitter/Facebook feed without scrolling) so I'm proposing to either remove the remorse timer from there or find a way to skip it like in any other app.
