This is a great disappointment for me.
Purchased new jolla phone from Snapdeal in India. apps from jolla store installed successfully however the YANDEX store just does not install.
The Android support app is installed successfully but YANDEX is not.
Running the latest version of the saiffish OS .08 version
Please help. Do not let me repent me for buying this product whcih I bought it out of respect for the Nokia Engineers.
Can you give more information please? Where do you install it from? What happens if you try? Any errors?
ossi1967 ( 2014-10-01 09:50:37 +0200 )editSincerely I do not know exactly what is happening. However When I try to install the app, it just says waiting and then in the notification I could see that, "Yandex.store" installation failed 4 minutes ago.
I checked my network connection WIFI/3G everything is just fine. The thing I am missing from Sailfish is that each time an app is being installed, it does not show the progress of it. Only two states available installed or failed. No reasons though.
From past 3 days I am out of WhatsApp/Skype
But I am glad that you guys are out there to reach for any help. Thank you.
Vinayadr ( 2014-10-01 09:58:48 +0200 )editI'm also unable to install Yandex, but I don't really need it. The answers here are just alternative solutions though, and they don't solve the problem of not being able to install it.
steabert ( 2014-10-01 10:34:27 +0200 )editHmmm well looks like Aptoid is able to solve the problem. I could find these apps in their store. Well when the product shipped in India, they promised that these apps, along with the snapdeal app comes pre-installed. what I got in hand is a pure sailfish OS and 8 apps + issues in installing most needed apps.
Vinayadr ( 2014-10-01 10:42:12 +0200 )edit@Vinayadr: But just to make sure: You're installing it from Jollas app store, not from the Yandex web site or other sources. Right?
