My Jolla has become disfunct. OS version is 1.0.8-19. I can still turn the device it on and the apps and data are there. However:

-Turning it on lasts much longer than before,

-SIM card is not recognized any more

-recognition of WLAN is rather haphazard (currently working).

-Jolla store displays a problem because there is no account (according to settings >accounts all accounts are still there) email accounts cannot be synced, modifying the accounts' settings/setting up a new account is possible, but "store" does not store them.

-android apps do not open.

-micro sd card (btrfs) is not recognized / mounted anymore etc.

I realized these phenomena when, after having copied some music files from my computer to my jolla (using usb), I tried to activate the developer mode. The latter ended (and still does) with a non-highlighted dot after choosing "accept" in order to save the developer mode.

Till now, I tried the following to solve the issue, without success:

-Reset the device reset using settings>reset device -> after the reboot all apps and data (incl. accounts, photos, contacts) were still there (!?!?)

-Putiing the device into the recovery mode, I did a btrfs recovery (as per: https://together.jolla.com/question/22079/howto-all-pc-users-recover-or-reset-a-device-that-is-stuck-in-boot-loop/ ).

-As this did not help, I again put the device in recovery mode and opted for a factory reset which led to an immediate termination of the telnet session. Upon reboot apps, accounts and data are still there, but not properly working (see above). Here is the terminal output of my attempt to do a factory reset:

     Jolla Recovery v0.2.7

Welcome to the recovery tool!

The available options are:

1) Reset device to factory state

2) Reboot device

3) Bootloader unlock [Current state: locked]

4) Shell

5) Try btrfs recovery if your device is in bootloop

6) Exit

Type the number of the desired action and press [Enter]:

1

ALL DATA WILL BE ERASED! Clears everything from the device and reverts the software back to factory state. This means LOSING EVERYTHING you have added to the device (e.g. updates, apps, accounts, contacts, photos and other media).
