Control 2G/3G individually
In MeeGo and Symbian there were options for "3G/2G", "2G Only" and "3G Only". In Jolla there's "Prefer 3G". The thing is, it has trouble letting the 2G go. Switching to 3G takes at least two minutes. Only connecting to 3G would be nicer.
edit: here is a newer, thus a kind of duplicate, but improved question to vote for: https://together.jolla.com/question/23913/2g-3g-4g-allowdeny-switches/
also 3g is way harder to sniff. So it's more secure than using 2g.

Does anyone know if 3G Only can be enabled via terminal?

Nice in theory and in Maadajävri there's improvement on boot behavior, but there will always be situations where 3G Only is needed. My record in Finnish Lapland is a working 3G connection at 24 kilometres from the base station!
hana ( 2013-12-29 21:27:46 +0200 )editA "3G only" option is a must-have to have a reasonable data connection in fringe areas, where it otherwise falls back to 2.5G or 2G even too quickly.
pycage ( 2013-12-30 15:48:15 +0200 )editThe setting, which one to be used, should be easier accessible. 2G saves battery, 3G/4G is faster and with stronger encryption. So I would like to easily specify what type of connection I would like (including "Automatic -- prefer 2G").
