Cannot delete contacts

If I add an Exchange / ActiveSync account to Jolla and have it do one way sync. When I remove the exchange account the contacts stay.

1.) If the contacts are tied to the Exchange account they should be removed when the account is removed.

2.) Once the Exchange account is removed it is impossible to delete the contacts. There is no option in the contacts app and going to Settings, Apps, People and delete all fails to delete any contacts.

Does restarting the phone, with a good connection, after you have removed the Exchange account works?

I regret that this does not work.

Maybe @VDVsx can give us some tips for this issue?

The contacts should go with the account, unless they were created locally as well(e.g when you edit some fields), hard to say what happened here without logs, only way to get rid of those is delete contacts DB(warning: all other contacts in the phone will be erased) or do a factory reset(warning: all you date wiill be erased)

Same problem with account Synced from another phone or accounts synced from online address book (e.g. gmail).

Most of my contact data have a "globe" icon beside them and i can't edit or delete them. The only way to edit that information is to delete the whole contact and recreate all the data. This affects 150 of my 160+ contacts, so it makes it a bit difficult to fix manually.

Did you try this: add the account again with two way sync and wait for a while (for the syncing to actually take place). Then remove the account.

I tried adding the account with two-way sync, then deleting and that did not fix it.

The correct behaviour for this ought to be when deleting a one-way sync account to ask the user if the contacts ought to be deleted when deleting the one-way or two way sync account.

There ought to also be a way to delete all the contacts (or at least the delete all contacts functionality should work.)

I have rebooted the phone (this does not work).

I see. This should be definitely checked out. Voting up.

I'm having a similar sort of problem, I think. Got my 'phone a few days ago and it synced my contacts from Google but added two copies of each. Everytime I delete one copy, it reappears a few seconds later. I tried editing them, so they had different names and tried again but still the same keeps happening. Also tried "delete all contacts" still no change. Any help would be gratefully received.
