Linking new phone number not synced

When a person that I have in contacts, phones me from a new number, I can link that new number to the contact card from the call list. It seems however that this change is not synced up to Google contacts. I had to manually change the phone number type and save again in order to get that pushed up.
Same here, I think it's a bug in Google Contacts sync. I tried manual sync didn't work, edited phone type and label and it synced imediately.
