Hi, I just got my Jolla, but alas I have problems.

Specifically is the screen, I have basically the flickering

is the phone? or is a software problem?

Sailfish Version 1.0.8.21

also if the approach Jolla to my ear I hear a beep that is continuous when the screen is on and increases in intensity when doing flicker ....

edit: and I just noticed that the problem does not mind if I'm in airplane mode !!

edit2: the flicker problem only occurs when wifi OR bluetooth are on !!!

any advice? I'm the only one with this problem?

Just so you know, an update to Sailfish 1.1.1.27 will be released on Monday. https://together.jolla.com/question/71741/release-notes-software-version-11127-vaarainjarvi/

You will see if the problem is on the software or hardware side. Also, did you have this problem before updating to 1.0.8.21 ?

It is much more sensitive softwarewise. So much i had to stop holding it landscape with sensor lower right since my hand/thumb caused the flickering and turning the screen dark. It is still much better than the old setting when it was impossible to use in bright conditions due to the too slow adaptation.

I honestly do not remember if the problem was already with the previous version.

Should I do a reset.

Wait for tomorrow to 1.1.1.27, Vaarainjärvi

Mayby you should check the hardware by using CSD tool: http://linuxg.net/jolla-has-a-secret-tool-for-testing-the-devices-features/

Seems like a hardware problem. No harm in seeing if monday update helps, but I think you should contact Jolla care for warranty repair/replacement.

I tried to test outdoor sunlight and now I test returns a PASS

but the problem persists.

A doubt, but if you approach your Jolla near your ear when the screen is turned on after hearing some noise beep strange?

Thank You

My device doesn't emit a beep, so I think yours probably has some kind of hardware defect.

Retrieved my Jolla just 2 days ago. I did an update to 1.0.8.21 first. In special light conditions I observed that the screen brightness was going up and down constantly. Not flickering but it seemed it couldn't decide which brightness to set. I couldn't observe the problem again after I had updated to 1.1.1.27, yesterday.
