1.1.1.27 Maps app looks for internet connection even if agps is diabled [answered]

After applkying update10 I disabled the 'Faster position lock' option to not have to deal with HERE TOS.

But it happened that I was in an area with no cell coverage and I opened the maps app. The maps app asked for network connection. I believe that's strange as there's nothing maps app have to look for on an internet connection, so my guess that it's still looking for HERE services.

I had the maps app installed before update 10 but as far as I remeber I never agreed to HERE TOS.

I also would like to have my HERE data contribution data deleted if some have been submitted.

Thank you

maybe maps wants to connect in order to download the map data, not to get the agps fix?

As @till stated correctly, maps does load the map data on the fly due to licensing the HERE services. And you almost certainly did agree to the HERE TOS via the settings when you first activated location services. You can look it up under settings -> location -> pulley "show agreement". In there, meaning when read the agreement, you can even revoke it.
