The new Pebble Watch was announce some minutes ago.

Has anyone a Idea if the exist app should work with the new device?

I think it might, since the new watch is compatible with the old pebble apps and watch faces. But, in all honesty I just don't know. But I've been thinking of buying the "old" model, maybe I'll upgrade. :)

(login to rebble web services is not possible as of version 1.6 , but the app store works)

Well, the best thing will be to open a request at Github for the current project. But as long as the new API is not released there will be no implementation ;). Everything that is possible via the same API should work without a problem on the new and old Pebble.
