Discussion for whatsup - native client for whatsapp
As posted by @Neo here whatsup, a native client for whatsapp has arrived. Direct link to the announcment here:
http://www.jollausers.com/2015/04/you-can-now-test-whatsup-the-whatsapp-client-for-sailfish-os/
I have downloaded the version in the link and apart from the app hanging occassionally, it works! There is the expectation of more features and bug fixes but this app works well for now and meets all the basic expectations from a whatsapp client.
I am not the developer of the app, but I though we can start a thread here wherein sailors that install whatsup can share their experience and we can collectively keep track of updates, etc.
UPDATE
If you are still using the native version of WhatsApp from OpenRepos (Whatsup), please note that the developer of the app has been contacted by WhatsApp lawyers and the development of the app will most probably stop. So using the native version might not be the best idea, unfortunately.
Discussion could also be kept in the post you already linked, right? (Suggesting this as a duplicate)

simo ( 2015-04-10 21:23:40 +0200 )editLogically yes, but that post also has other points of discussion (will a native app be available, we should use telegram, viber, etc). I thought if there is one dedicated to whatsup, topic will be focused.

pavi ( 2015-04-11 11:41:07 +0200 )editSo has anyone installed it yet? Like I said before, its working great on mine as of now.
Aashish ( 2015-04-11 15:08:29 +0200 )editIt seems to work fine to me :D
