1.1.6/Aaslakkajärvi Battery drain!

Well, that's it! ;)

So, the phone was hooked on the charger since yesterday. Immediately aftet the update charge dropped to 98%. After that i left with the phone. 30 minutes later ( some 3g internet and few android apps charge is 75%. After an hour charging it gets to 83% . I left again with the phone in the pocket, few minutes later the charge is 90%!!! 0.o Very strange. 0.o

UPDATE 21 October 2015 ver. 2.0.0.10

Massive battery drain! Phone gets from 100% charge to 0% (it turns itself off) for just a 4 hours! And the phone gets hot. With my usual usage pattern, battery lasts for at least 8 hours! :(

Can you at least try to be descriptive? “Something's broken that's it” is not very helpful. Could you provide.any details, like “over 2 hours on 2g, idle, wifi turned off, no apps and no aliendalvik running phone lost 20% battery”? Without that it's impossible to tell if there's any actual problem or it is just your subjective observation.

There's something funny with battery meter and 2.0.0.10. I started the update pprocess with near-full battery, and when it came back the battery meter had gone down to 22 % and then seemed to be totally stuck there after lengthy use. Only after a reboot the battery meter caught on.

After update first hour or so, tracker-store process will drain a lot of CPU and power, but finally will settle down and batt drain is going to normal.

I did the upgrade to Sailfish 2.0.0.10 (early release) more than one week ago. The battery drains quite fast since then, but it is more annoying that the phone gets very slow. Also continuosly applications get stuck and send me to the home screen. As it is commented in others post, the tracker-store and miner use ~50% of CPU each. In sysmon the memory is over 700Mb and swap over 350Mb. After killing tracker-store the RAM and swap decrease substantially and the phone become more responsive. After a while both tracker-store and miner processes reappear using again 50% of CPU and the RAM starts to increase. It someone knows some solution for this behaviour, it will be great. I hope this could be solved in the next release.

I have seen that the problem with the battery and system hangs seems to come from tracker-store and tracker-miner. During more than a week they have been using the processor at high rate, probably this causes the drain of the battery. Also as I mentioned above they used to much memory (RAM and swap) which causes the low responsiveness of the phone. I attach a figure showing the memory use decreasse after kill tracker-store, the peak around 8:00 20151104093150.png. Just kill the tracker-store made the phone works gracefully again. Finally the problem has dissapear after some cleanning of the external micro SD Card. tracker store and miner have relax.

All the problems with my phone started after a factory reset of the device, I guess this required a regeneration of the tracker databases what has produced the overload of the procesors and RAM. Still in my opinion the fact of being the tracker so demanding during more than a week is a problem. I have solve the responsiveness by killing tracker-store process when the phone is slow around once a day, this free the swap. tracker restart by itself, what I dont know is whether this restart the tracker from scratch or just resume it.
