Bootloop on Jolla 1 Phone
Update failed and factory reset failed and phone is stuck on Jolla logo on boot. Recovery mode repair options don't work for me, including repair filesystem, and factory reset keeps on failing - btrfs errors on mmcblk0p28 - segfault when attempting to mount
I've dd'ed the mmcblk0p28 filesystem to an image on a microSD but I can't mount it on my linux PC -
# mount -t btrfs -o loop /run/media/[USER]/[UUID]/jollafs.img /mnt/tmp
mount: /mnt/tmp: can't read superblock on /dev/loop0.
Can anyone help me with repairing the BTRFS filesystem, or point me towards a firmware image that will allow me to boot my phone and update it.
If I'd only known how easy it was to dd an image of the filesystem to an SD card, and how important having that was if an update failed and the phone became corrupted... :(
I'm annoyed because the previous Sailfish update failed as well, I was able to successfully factory reset that time, had a system backup but lost some app data. I've always had loads of free storage space on this phone, use only 2 or 3 android apps occasionally, I should not have run into problems never mind one that bricks my phone :(
I love my Jolla 1 ,please help me bring it back to life :)
Also - I've contacted Jolla support, who suggested I contact Mobylife. The link in Jolla Support's email is 404 and the email address jollacom@mobylife.fi responds with a delivery failure in Finnish. So even if I want to pay lots of money to get my phone reflashed, it appears this service is no longer available :(
In the meantime I've gone back to my old Nokia 301, as dumbphones go it's a fantastic dumbphone, but it's nothing like my Jolla.... :( and I really don't want to buy some Android piece of crap. I'd consider an Xperia if I could find a seller guaranteed to sell one unlocked and supported by Jolla....
Anyone?
I'm bidding on a Jolla 1 on eBay, wish me luck!
