Before updating on 1.0.7.16 my carkit (Audi A4) worked fine. After updating yesterday I cannot answer incoming calls and if I try to call someone my carkit says "dialing" but nothing happens to my phone. After reseting the carkit and the phone there is still the same problem... I can see the carkit on my phone and can pair via Bluetooth but I can't use the phone :( Someone else with this problem?

Not having that issue, but do have issues with my carkit in my Renault Megane after the update. The connection drops after about a minute with an unpleasant sound coming through the speakers.

Since last update I cannot even connect to my car radio anymore... It was working fine even if there were some glitches. Now it always displays "Connection error"...

I have a similar problem after the update on my Renault. It was working fine even after the update but I've removed the pairing in hope of activating the PBAP profile upon re-pairing. However, I cannot even pair now - when I start pairing from my carkit it asks me to run the pairing process from my Jolla and use the displayed pin but as soon as I do that, before I can even enter the pin, it displays Connection error on my carkit and cancels the pairing. I can continue with the process on my Jolla but, for obvious reasons, the pairing never succeeds. Bottom line, the update has turned my Jolla from somewhat usable to completely unusable when it comes to using it while driving.

The first time I connected after this update Jolla found my car stereo and the car stereo found the phone numbers from 'Missed calls' etc. After a while it started displaying 'No device' and didn't connect and the second time it couldn't find the stereo. (Alpine UTE-72BT). I also tried to remove the pairing and pair it again but no luck.

Got mine to work again but I have no clue what did the trick. It was easy to set up the first time before this update. No issues at all.

I also had trouble connecting with my Volvo Car kit but after removing the Jolla from the carkit and car kit from the Jolla and pairing again everything is working. Even the syncing of the call log.

Thanks for the suggestion. Already tried removibg from the Jolla. Unfortunately I haven't figured out how to remove it from my Renault.

@Jarno, go to Settings / Bluetooth settings, select your previously paired Jolla connection and then on the submenu select 'Delete this device' (or something like that, it's the third option). Be warned, tho, you won't be able to pair with Jolla afterwards as I've explained in my comment above - at least that's what happens on the carkit (identified as My_Radiosat) which comes with Megane Coupe from 2012 (I forgot to write down the software version but I'll update my comment afterwards).

Thanks for the tip. I tried this one but it didn't help in my (pretty nasty) case either: I have 'Nokia J' headset, which seems work otherwise ok with quick test, but if I do the following:

  1. Activate headset by taking it out to your ear. Says '...connected'
  2. Press the only button in headset to redial last number. Which Jolla does ok.
  3. Press cancel call in Jolla UI -> Phone UI disappears to call list like call would have ended, but actually call remains open WITHOUT PHONE UI (you see green Phone indicacator in standby screen also).

So you have 'unintended' call continuing, without you noticing it and no UI to stop the call (nor does headset button cancel the call either if cancel were pressed in Jolla UI instead of headset). Only way to cancel the call is putting NokiaJ back to its case. So to trigger its standby mode.

Warning: Could happen with other headsets also, anybody? (i have re-paired headset after latest update, which partially enabled button functions, but this problem remains).

@incognito Is that after making a connection? When I select the phone in the list the carkit tries to connect. It doesn't show the mentioned menu for me :-(

Jarno ( 2014-06-13 01:11:16 +0300 )edit

@Jarno, you don't need to make a connection. It should automatically run the menu options if it cannot connect to the said device (or after it connects successfully) but you can skip the connecting part altogether if you use the < > keys (on the sides of the central turn/press button) for navigating. Scroll to your paired connection and use the > key - it should enter the settings menu immediately. If you're still having troubles, I'm planning on posting a separate 'question' together with images tomorrow so I'll link it here as well.

I could successfully connect my Jolla with Blue&me of my Lancia Delta Momo Design (2013).

I deleted user date on the car and removed the previous Blue&me connection profile from my Jolla. I started the connection procedure, it connected properly, downloaded all the contacts, and everything worked fine, i.e. I could start calls with voice commands, incoming call numbers where shown properly, the call list was updated properly, so simply perfect at first glance.

But then suddenly some days later. all the contacts had disappeared from Blue&me, with only one number remaining. So I reconnected the phone, and everything worked fine again, all contacts again available. At next reconnection with the car, the contacts had disappeared again.

Then it came to my mind, that I had added one phone number to an existing contact using my phone, and exactly that phone number was the only remaining after reconnection. So I removed that phone number, and suddenly, also reconnection was working properly.

To sum up: If you add phone numbers on your Jolla, and if you use a Google account for your contacts, the seem not to be synchronised properly to Google, and these phone numbers somehow overrule synchronisation from phone to carkit.

Hopefully, there will be a fix for that issue soon.
