This article talks about that "You will soon be able turn your Android device into a Sailfish device"

Jolla pioneered the ability to use existing Android hardware adaptations with the libhybris project and the first Jolla device is built upon an Android hardware adaptation (but is not Android, just uses the hardware adaptation)

What devices would you like to see SailfishOS on - what chipset, how much RAM, how big internal storage, what resolution and screen size, cores and speed? .. and why?

If a device exists already as an answer, vote it up!

Acer Iconia A1! I don't like Android so would love to use Sailfish in that too! :)

Droid 5, if leaks are true it should be very comparable to current Jolla (S4 dualcore, 1Gb RAM, 16Gb internal) but better screen 720p and HWKB

Should the title read 'Android-based devices'?

I see a lot of demand in the Answer section for Jolla (or nemo) Tablet. But before that happens, you must support landscape first. Please make it happen ;-)

I think this would be a nice improvement for the main Jolla website: allowing people to sign-up with their e-mail and current phone model they would wish to have Sailfish OS on. They could then be announced when Sailfish is available for their phone. I have friends who are interested in this.

Definitely Sony Experia Z1 mini would become a mean machine with Sailfish on it. Need to see the device in action.

Any reasonably modern Android with a hardware keyboard! I desperately need a HW keyboard for hacking on the go, and with Sailfish on it the Android-phone transforms into a proper computer!

(By reasonably modern I mean dual-core or more and 4" - 5" screen).

buy one of those mini BT keyboards.

I will do that in a pinch, but it really is a clunky solution compared to an integrated keyboard. I have a Nokia E7 (it has HW keyboard), and it isn't noticably thicker than the Jolla without a keyboard!

Galaxy Tab 10.1N.

It's pretty old but still useful and due to patent reasons you won't get Android updates above 2.3 at least in Germany. Therefore I expect many devices are rooted and running Cyanogenmod already.

Only hardware keys are power and volume like Jolla phone.
