This article talks about that "You will soon be able turn your Android device into a Sailfish device"

Jolla pioneered the ability to use existing Android hardware adaptations with the libhybris project and the first Jolla device is built upon an Android hardware adaptation (but is not Android, just uses the hardware adaptation)

What devices would you like to see SailfishOS on - what chipset, how much RAM, how big internal storage, what resolution and screen size, cores and speed? .. and why?

If a device exists already as an answer, vote it up!

Acer Iconia A1! I don't like Android so would love to use Sailfish in that too! :)

Droid 5, if leaks are true it should be very comparable to current Jolla (S4 dualcore, 1Gb RAM, 16Gb internal) but better screen 720p and HWKB

Should the title read 'Android-based devices'?

I see a lot of demand in the Answer section for Jolla (or nemo) Tablet. But before that happens, you must support landscape first. Please make it happen ;-)

I think this would be a nice improvement for the main Jolla website: allowing people to sign-up with their e-mail and current phone model they would wish to have Sailfish OS on. They could then be announced when Sailfish is available for their phone. I have friends who are interested in this.

Samsung Tab3 7" wifi : a lovely built device and a great size/format, but crippled by a terribly slow version of Android. Sailfish would ressurect this device.

Palm Pre 2, because it's great phone but without up-to-date OS :-/ (yes, I know it's not Android device) OMAP3630 SoC @ 1,0GHz 320x480 3,1" display kernel patches and native (!) Linux drivers is here: http://www.openwebosproject.org/opensource/2.2.4/index.html

Something with a QWERTY-keyboard. Nokia E7 for example.

I agree, I think that some smartphones should be small. I have an HP Veer that I can't use as my main phone because of the terrible call quality, but I think that the size makes it very useful. I know that SailfishOS will never run on an HP Veer, but it would be great to see some more mainstream small smartphones supported. Dual SIM is a real bonus.

I would very much like to see it on lumia devices such as the 1020 and 925. Windows phone works, but its just so boring.
