Hi all

Sorry, I can't figure out a better title and the questions I found were all about the ability to access the phonebook over bluetooth.

My problem is that on bluetooth the only phonebook entry I see is the one I made manually (to store quickly the number). The contacts synced from exchange are not visible. I first thought I just had to import them as vcards but I still have the same problem. Only one entry is visible in my car (Peugeout 207 SW).

Any ideas what is wrong with my Jolla settings or with my contacts? What is the difference of contacts syncd/imported to the contacts entered manually?

Thanky very much! Aurel

I knew such a comment will come :-) But I did not want to buy a Volvo from the chinese, so I took a Peugeot ;-)

Hi. I just got my jolla two days ago and I have similar problems with my Audi A5 sb (2011).

When the phone is connected to the car (bluetooth handsfree) I cannot browse my contacts on the phone.

If I use the phone to call (not controlled from the car) while the car is connected, the number appear on the display in the car - but not the name of the person I am calling. However, if I call sb while the phone is not connected to the car, then the name of the recipient will show up in the "recent calls" list when I reconnect the car. This is not a big problem as I use most often the ´recent calls´ list when making a new call. It would be useful to be able to access all my contacts from my car while driving.

audi MMI is strange with other phones too... for example it always said no phonebook slot left when connecting a already known phone with only 2 slots in use... worked flawless for me with jolla but I never tried to use the phone by hand as I do not do that when driving

Somehow, samsung (S3 & Note 3) and Sony (Xperia Z) worked well with the audi, but I do not know the details. Those phones also had their issues which made me replace them.

With the new December update 1.1.1.27 this problem is finally solved for me. Couldn't take the smile of my face when I realized that (I wasn't expecting it)...

PBAP support was included in SailfishOS release 1.0.7.16 which came out in June 2014. The limitation of syncing local contacts only has been lifted in SFOS 1.0.8.19 (July 14th). However, Facebook contacts might not get exported.

That's correct - information retrieved from Facebook is not exported via PBAP or SyncML.

Hmm. It still does not work... So it seems Peugeot uses another protocol?

If you car uses syncml to sync the contacts this is a known issue which will be sorted out on the next update.

Hi,

I've the same problem with my 207.

And I just got a response from care. They seem to have problems with non local phonebook entries.

So in my case I only have google contacts that are in my phonebook and they won't be synced to the carkit. I have read it somewhere here in together but I'm unable to find the post. They are working on this problem but can't estimate when a fix will be released. Could be the next update ...

They told me to create a local phonebook entry and see if this will be synced. I'll do it as soon as I can to test if the carkit is at least some how compatible.

And there are many other related issues here: https://together.jolla.com/question/40698/jolla-does-not-work-with-car-kit/ https://together.jolla.com/question/274/pbap-bluetooth-profile-support-is-requested/

Best

Thanks for you reply I can confirm that a local phonebook entry is visible and can be selected through the bluetooth interface in the car. If they are working on that problem, it's fine for me. So for the moment it is either have synced/backed up contacts through Outlook/google... or being able to see them in the car display.
