[Bug] Folder title keeps showing one unread email [released]
When multiple emails are received into a mail folder the folder title keeps showing one unread message even though all messages have been read. The title updates only after changing folders there and back.
While reading the other new messages the unread message counter updates correctly until number 1 is shown. Only the last mail read does not behave as expected.
Applies to version 1.0.8.19, worked correctly in previous version.
All my accounts are ActiveSync (Zimbra).
Update: I did some more investigation and found the following. The problem only appears in folders other than Inbox. Initially the folder title after entering and syncing does not show any number of unread mails even though there are some highlighted unread mails in the folder (let's assume there are three unread emails).
After a mail is opened and I swipe back the folder is updated and the title is accompanied by the number of previously unread emails (three according to the example above). The Just read email is not highlighted any more as expected (so there are two highlighted emails in the folder in our example).
Reading the next unread email decreases the number in the title by one as well as the number of highlighted emails in the folder (i.e. number two in title, one highlighted email).
After the last mail is read the title shows number one.
Swiping to the list of folders and back does not help. After switching to another folder and back the title does not show any number of unread mails as expected.
Can't say anything else than it does not happen for me (ActiveSync and Zimbra NE 8.0.7). So at least it is not 100% common bug.
In case the Jolla email client database is slightly corrupt, you could move (under Zimbra client) all emails from inbox to other folder and see if it still keeps happening. This would enforce activesync to update status of all emails in inbox and the other folder too.
If it does not help, then reconfigure the whole account on Jolla and resync.

strnous ( 2014-07-18 23:12:37 +0200 )editOk, now I see it too. I opened other folder with unread emails (than inbox). The status of the folder got updated, showing seven unread emails. I opened those one by one, and the last "1" on the folder header stayed even after I had opened them all.
