[Bug] Unread status is not updated by Jolla mail client, when mail is marked as read by another device? [answered]

If I read or mark e-mail as read with Jolla, these mails are also marked as read when accessing mails with another client like laptop/PC.

However, if I read/mark my mails with another client, should the new state of the emails be synchronized also to Jolla mail client i.e. all earlier synchronized emails as unread shall be changed to read on next sync and thus will be removed from common inbox view?

At least IMAP accounts should allow such behavior - right?

It should, but there was a bug in imap read email status update code especially if more than 500 emails was marked as read in one go. Fix went into upstream just couple days ago. Most likely fix will be included in update10.

@rainisto Just set the unread mails on my laptop to read status and refreshed Jolla mail account. Long list of unread mails on Jolla common inbox view were cleared.

I guess we can say that update10 fixed the problem as promised.

By the way should I change the status of this post to closed instead of answered or does it matter?
