No sound (with strange exceptions)
No headphones: No sound (when playing music/system sounds/phone ringing), except during a call everything works fine
Headphones: Sound always works
What I tried: Switched ambient, reinserted battery, maxed all sound settings, sound test via CSD
Happend a few days ago for no particular reason
Additional info: I have (one of the many) phones that need a sheet of paper between the cover and the battery. The paper slips out every few weeks and then, if the phone needs a bit more power (weak 3G signal or a call), it shuts off completly with no reboot.
contact care@jolla.com, your audio speaker is most certainely broken. Call sounds are handled via a different speaker. My speaker just broke for the second time and I sent it to Jolla for repair.

compulsoryRegistration ( 2014-11-01 22:44:37 +0200 )editI have as well random speaker failures and I could reproduce it as follows: - Play some music - Remove the TOH back cover - Press your finger on the Jolla logo of the battery (or a bit below) and the sound will be broken temporary or permanent.
I have opened already a request at Jolla Care and I am just preparing the Jolla for warranty repair.
vision ( 2014-11-01 23:34:48 +0200 )editBoth my repairs were/are covered by warranty. The speaker seems a notoriously vulnerable part, given the amount of complaints there have been here about it. Hope all these repairs don't have too much of an influence on Jolla's balance sheets.
rod ( 2014-11-02 11:16:59 +0200 )editLooks like a duplicate of https://together.jolla.com/question/39900/no-sound-through-speaker/ and others. I had issues with the speaker as well. Like suggested above, contact Jolla Care and you probably will havce to send the phone in.
