Hi sailors,

I installed Sfos on my F5122 today. works brillantly and the Xperia is a device like I always wanted running Sailfish. Unfortunately I have a big problem. The device can't connect to the network. I tried the biggest providers here in Germany (T-mobile and Vodafone) The device can detect the SIM but doesn't connect .

Has anyone an idea how to test the capabilities or to solve the problem? Does a reset restores Android or the naked Sailfish?

Thanks for your help in advance

edit: I just recognized that the phone doesn' even ask for the PIN

edit 2: running command from here http://talk.maemo.org/showpost.php?p=1535507&postcount=93 didn't solve the problem like reflashing sfos on the device as well... image description that's my ofono log...

Edit 3: back to Android my Sim cards are working perfectly. What can I do now? (sent from my Xperia X via LTE connection)

Did you Install the latest Android 7 and boot the device to android fully once before flashing? Did Android see (and use) both SIMs? I had similar effects when I flashed SFOS without doing a full android boot on the latest firmware (34.3.A.0.238) first.

Did you do both the "hacks" form http://talk.maemo.org/showthread.php?p=1534540#post1534540 and http://talk.maemo.org/showpost.php?p=1535507&postcount=93

With these steps both SIMs are fully working on my F5122.

Resetting should reset SFOS to factory state, to get back to Andorid you'll have to flash an Android image

I can confirm that deleting the ofono dir and applying the hack for activating both sims works.

I didn't try those hscks yet coz Im not so gamiliar with writing command lines nor did I ever tty to flash Android images coz I don't know how... but I will try the hacks first, hope someone can guide me a lil :) if that's not working I try to flash Android again to check the sim capabilities wizh the same request for help

I have the same problem :( BEFORE trying maemo instructions... eg. do: (copied from Lanterns post and edited a bit - thanks to Lantern & others!)

(devel-su first) (also prefer nano so "pkcon install nano" for easier editing - ok - shame on me no using vi :) )

add these 3 lines to /default.prop

persist.multisim.config=dsds
persist.radio.multisim.config=dsds
ro.telephony.default_network=9,1

and these lines to the end of /etc/ofono/ril_subscription.conf

[ril_1]
socket=/dev/socket/rild2

pkcon install jolla-settings-networking-multisim

reboot phone = SIM registers just fine

I edit: disabling sim2 is not saved, but is enabled back after reboot (only small flaw)

Hi, any idea's how to edit these files on a windows machine? (sorry, i'm a beginner here)

someone ( 2018-04-24 21:26:38 +0300 )edit

unfortunately with the new release 2.2.0 this is not working anymore. i get a fatal error when installing the jolla-settings-networking-multisim. so no 2nd Sim offered anymore.

Does anybody know how to activate the 2nd Sim now with 2.2.0, which even should support 2nd SIM out of the Box?
